Time Recording: Device loss and app data

Time Recording stores all data locally on your device. Accordingly, if your device gets lost, stolen or damaged beyond repair, your data is gone as well. This is why you're strongly encouraged to back up the app's data regularly:
• The app shows a "Backup reminder" alert every few days, as per screenshot below. Data restore based on these backups is explained here.
• Alternatively, you can manually or automatically trigger the app's data backup.

Also note: Time Recording integrates into “Android Auto Backup”.
Caution: Android Auto Backup is not reliable. Google states that data restore occurs when an app is installed via Play Store, but this may not work. Worse, if restore doesn't work as stated, then there's no way to manually force data restore from an earlier "Android Auto Backup". For more information see “Android System Settings → System → Backup”.

Recover the “Backup reminder” notification
If you've discarded the backup reminder with "Don't show this message again", then this can be recovered via the preferences page "Data administration":
